Apply for a visa for France

Visa applications submitted in Poland are processed by the Visa Service of the French Embassy in Warsaw, the only body entitled to make decisions concerning visas.

This does not apply to Polish nationals, as they are EU-nationals, regardless of the length and grounds of their stay.

Third-country nationals residing in Poland based on a valid residence permit or a Polish national visa are not subject to a short-stay visa in France, as their Polish document entitles them to stay in France or any other Schengen country for 90 days within a period of 180 days. Please note that foreigners waiting for the issuance of their residence permit in Poland are not allowed to travel outside of Poland. A short-stay visa to France can't be issued to them.

Please allow two months from the submission of the application until the planned departure date.

What are the application fees?

A visa application will only be processed following the payment of the application charges, when applicable. Payments can be made by debit card Visa or Mastercard, contactless payment means or by cash, in Polish zlotys (PLN) at the applicable consular exchange rate.

No cheques, cards or euro payments are accepted. This is a visa application processing fee, not the payment for the visa. A receipt is issued to the visa applicant, stating the paid amount.

No refund, including partial refund, is made if the visa application is rejected.
