Appointment waiting times

We recommend that you make an appointment sufficiently in advance of your planned departure date to avoid disappointment. A visa application may be submitted from 6 months before the departure date.

Similarly, it is found a flood of applications at the approach of summer. Obtaining an appointment can then exceed a reasonable time, whereas during other periods it is limited to a few days (2 days in general). Accordingly, applicants are encouraged to make arrangements to file their claims with sufficient advance to avoid having to delay their departure.

Security information

When you visit a French Consulate, you must not bring any weapons or dangerous items with you. Luggage and accompanying persons are not allowed too. Security checks will be performed before you are admitted to the premises.

Practical information on the unwound of the appointment.

Please make sure to come with a complete visa application file. The consulate doesn’t make any photocopy for you.

At reception, a visa officer will check whether your application is complete i.e. you have all the documents on the list provided by the French consular authorities.

Submitting a complete application does not guarantee that the consular authorities will issue you with a visa.
