Young "au pair"
Your situation
You are aged between 18 and 30.
You will be temporarily hosted by a family in France, that must be of a different nationality from yours and with whom you are not related and with the plan to improve your linguistic knowledge.
You must meet the following conditions :
- You must have an au pair placement agreement setting out your working conditions, your pay and the arrangements for your French classes. Details of your subsistence, accommodation, and insurance arrangements will also be stated.
- You must prove basic knowledge of the French language, that you are educated to secondary school level or that you have professional qualifications.
Your visa
You will receive a long-stay visa serving as a residence permit which will be subject to formalities upon your arrival in France.
A one-year visa will be issued. Your stay as an au pair can be extended to a maximum of two years.
