How to apply for a visa at the French embassy in Myanmar :
Myanmar citizens or foreigners with residency in Myanmar need to apply for a visa to enter France or any other Schengen state.
- For short term visa, you should apply at least 2 weeks prior to your trip.
- For a long stay visa, you should apply at least 1 month prior to your trip.
After checking what type of visa you need by going on the wizard tool, sign in an account and fill in an application.
Once you have done, you will have the list of the supporting documents you must bring along with the visa fees payable in Myanmar kyats.
You must then take an appointment, but minimum 15 days PRIOR YOUR TRAVEL DATES.

What are the visa fees?
Fees must be paid for every application (except official and diplomatic passports). The amount to pay is the equivalent of 90 euros in Myanmar Kyats according to currency exchange rate the day of the appointment at the embassy.
Only Myanmar Kyats notes are accepted. A receipt will be given to the applicant.
Even if the visa is denied, there will be no refund.

Depending on your country of nationality and the time of the year, please allow sufficient time of at least 15 days between the submission of your file and the answer.
Applicants are asked to anticipate their visa application process in relation to their departure date.
The plane ticket purchased and confirmed as well as the insurance certificate are mandatory.

You may come between 11:30 am and 12:00 am during working days.

All applicants need to make an appointment to apply.
Fingerprints will be taken, except for children under 12.
Collecting your passports :
For individual applications, the result of the examination will be given after 48 hours if no additional information is requested by the visa section.
After the result, the applicants will be able to come and collect their passport.
